YELL THESE COACHING CUES OUT AS YOU PRACTICE.
coaching cues for volleyball setting and hitting
If you are a young coach remember kids don’t really listen very well so yell out coaching cues over and over and over while they are doing drills allows you to accomplish two things at the same time. We always went from drill to drill to drill to drill with no stopping, transitioning in seconds from one drill to the next. Any talking was done in a huddle after practice was over and never lasted more than two minutes. Using coaching cues during your practices also gives players individual attention at the time they are doing the skill. Just some thoughts from this old coach! Here are a few volleyball coaching cues for the setters.
